Derrick has worked very hard to be a good inmate, taken all programs available to him and finished his GED. As he approaches his Mandatory release Date(MR) , the parole board decides to give him new program requirements through COMPAS testing. These tests were designed to assess the needs of incoming prisoner, which they are not. Instead they are used to forever delay the release of parole ready inmates. Another scam .
